Why one should read books?

Reading has many advantages, and here are four of them to encourage you to begin reading. From a young age, we are told that reading as much as possible is the key to achievement and fulfilment. Most people read books to improv and incur the qualities so highly successful people. Picture the brightest, hardest-working person you meet, and you're likely to see them in a library for hours on end poring over a variety of texts. Although being a voracious reader does not guarantee success, successful people are unquestionably voracious readers. And they all share the following characteristics.

1. Stimulation of the Mind

Since keeping the brain active and activated prevents it from losing control, studies have shown that remaining mentally stimulated can delay (or even prevent) the progression of Alzheimer's and Dementia.

The brain, like every other muscle in the body, needs exercise to stay strong and safe, so the term "use it or lose it" applies especially well to your mind. Puzzles and games like chess have also been found to be beneficial in terms of cognitive enhancement.

2.Knowledge

Everything you read instils new ideas in your mind, and you never know when they'll come in handy. The more experience you have, the more prepared you will be to face any obstacle that comes your way.

Furthermore, here's some food for thought: if you ever find yourself in a bind, remember that while you can lose all else—your work, your belongings, your wealth, even your health—knowledge can never be taken from you.

3.Expansion of Vocabulary

This is related to the previous point: the more you learn, the more words you'll encounter, and they'll eventually find their way into your daily vocabulary.

Being articulate and well-spoken is beneficial in every career, and understanding that you can confidently talk to higher-ups can improve your self-esteem significantly. It can also help you advance in your career, as those with larger vocabularies and a lack of awareness of literature, scientific breakthroughs, and global events are promoted more rapidly (and more frequently) than those with smaller vocabularies and a lack of awareness of literature, scientific breakthroughs, and global events. Reading is often important for learning a new language.

4.Improved Writing Techniques

This goes hand in hand with the vocabulary expansion: Observing the cadence, fluidity, and writing styles of other writers will invariably affect your own work, as will exposure to published, well-written work.

Writers learn how to craft prose by reading the works of others, just as musicians influence one another and painters use techniques developed by previous masters.

5.Significantly Reduced Stress

Life in the modern world is stressful. Reading has been shown to relieve stress more effectively than driving, listening to music, or playing video games. When people read an engrossing novel, their imagination is actively engaged, which distracts them from their everyday stresses at least for a little while.

6.Enhances Overall Health

Reading a good book for 30 minutes a day is good for the body and burns calories - who knew? People who read on a regular basis can live longer. Reading before bed will also help you sleep better. If you have no commitments the next day, don't sit up all night reading.
